Coronado

Coronado, California, primarily accessible via the world-famous, curve-shaped, Coronado Bay Bridge, is a lovely community surrounded by water. The world-renowned Hotel Del Coronado is a favorite stopover of well-heeled international travelers, as well providing locals with the perfect venue for a sunset cocktails at the bar. The Silver Strand beach is a great place to take the entire family to enjoy a day of pristine beauty.

 

Coronado Island is also very well-known as being the home & training grounds of the US Special Forces-Navy Seals. To make it through their very intense BUDS training camp the Navy Seal recruits must be in top mental & physical condition. One always feels an extra sense of security when visiting Coronado due to it's underlying very strong, yet completely unobtrusive military presence.

 

There are also both excellent public & private schools available to Coronado residents. Additionally, there are a wide array of excellent restaurants & bars, with great boutique shopping as well.

 

Coronado is truly a great place to just spend the day--although, many like it there so much after the first visit that they spend a lifetime!
