Pacific Beach

Locally known as "PB," is generally regarded to be one of San Diego's best places to have fun. PB always has a youthful energy, with great beach bars & restaurants. Oceanfront Walk is a favorite place for locals & visitors alike to check out, or be part of the action: skateboarding, bicycling, walking & running. Surfers of all skill levels love the waves of Pacific Beach. Tourmaline Surfing Park, at the north end of PB, is a great place to catch a long & fun ride on a wave. Or, if one prefers, there's Kate Sessions Park, with beautiful views of Mission Bay & the ocean from up on the grassy hillside while enjoying a picnic.

 

Nowadays, with rapidly rising property values, Pacific Beach is becoming an increasingly popular choice for the young, professional set to buy a home a raise their families. The local public education system, which is part of the San Diego Unified School District, includes Mission Bay High School, Pacific Beach Elementary & Middle Schools, Kate Sessions Elementary School, Barnard Elementary School, & Crown Point Junior Music Academy.
